A must-see when travelling to Vietnam is to sail out to Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage listed site comprising over 1 600 islands and islets in the clean green water of the gulf of Tonkin. After the core tour, extensions are available to Angkor (to spend two days exploring Angkor, one of the mightiest cities of the ancient world and home to the astonishing temples of the Khmer empire), or to Phu Quoc Island, to relax in the pristine beach environment of this beautiful tropical Vietnamese destination.
